Borgo Pianello: living the Italian dolce vita
…to wake up after a peaceful sleep, to open the window and breathe the fresh air coming from green Tuscany mountains, the surrounding nature wishing you “Buongiorno!” (have a good day!).
Will you have breakfast in your cozy apartment, enjoying the fresh bread you had us baking for you, or better spoil you and your family with a foamy cappuccino and pastries at our cafeteria? What a difficult choice to be made..;
…a bright Italian summer day, a wonderful pool overlooking an ancient valley, care-free chatter with friends while sipping a Sprit enjoying the cool breeze of the Appennini mountains.
And if you prefer some action, why not to try some trekking in the surrounding woods, or some exploring the surrounding small villages riding an e-bike or even horse riding?
While staying at Borgo Pianello you can actually do all these things, and we will be more than happy to help you planning your activities or your “lazy day” at the pool!
…to have the opportunity to taste niche food delicacies you cannot find elsewhere in Italy, and in the world: the Parmesan cheese that was made in the caseificio (cheese artisanal factory) nearby, the original balsamic vinegar, the one that stick to your palate and fills your mouth with the perfect sweetness and acidity, a dream experience. And the salami, prosciutto and ciccioli: all made with love, passion and tradition.
If you are on discovery mode, we can provide you with detailed information about where to taste these delicacies directly from the producer, or we can share with you our “secret list” of the best places where to do some gourmet food shopping.
Or…you can shop directly in our little delicacy boutique in Borgo Pianello!
Are you a barbecue fan? We are too, and our barbecue is always set ready! And in the meanwhile you might enjoy a very good glass of vino from our wine cellar, an unforgettable wine testing experience led by Marco, who carefully selected the best Italian wines for our guests.
Borgo Pianello is a four season wonderful experience.
On May, June, September and October we organize ITALIAN COOKING HOLIDAY EXPERIENCES, where you can learn how to cook traditional Italian recipes (pizza too!) while enjoying the Borgo life and maybe learning a little bit of Italian.
And during the winter season, the nearby mountains are the best for winter sports lovers: you can choose among alpine, downhill and cross-country skiing and if snowshoeing is your favorite, well, this is the place!
